Hayden Raysmith - Chair

Hayden Raysmith has had a distinguished career in the public, community and philanthropic sectors. He was the founding chair of Melbourne Community Foundation, the Executive Director of the Victorian Council of Social Service (VCOSS), chair of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Social Research at Swinburne University and held the positions of Director of Youth Affairs and Director of Public Health in the Victorian Government. He currently chairs the Abbotsford Convent Foundation, which is developing an arts, cultural and educational precinct on the Yarra, near the Collingwood Children's Farm. Professor Raysmith and his wife, Lynne Wannan are a Hobson Bay residents and their children attended Williamstown Primary and Secondary schools. Cr Sandra Wilson

Cr Sandra Wilson has been a Hobsons Bay City councillor since 2012, serving two terms as Mayor (2013/14 & 2016/17) and Deputy Mayor (2015/16). As a councillor and a community leader, Sandra is passionate about sustainability, protection of open space, advocacy for community needs and opportunities for women and young people (to name a few). She cares about the decisions we make today having the best impact for the future.

Sandra has worked as a consultant in workplace diversity, equal opportunity, bullying and flexible work practices; a manager of volunteers; and a policy officer for the national peak body for volunteering. She is a Board member of the Western Region Football League and has been a dedicated member of HBCF during her two mayoral terms, choosing to continue because the values of the Fund align with her own. She is married with two teenage sons.

Cr Peter Hemphill

Cr Peter Hemphill has been a Councillor at Hobsons Bay City Council since 1999, serving as Mayor in 2008-09 and in 2015. A Newport resident, Peter is an award-winning journalist with The Weekly Times newspaper in Melbourne, and is passionate about maritime history and preserving local heritage. He holds an Australian Institute of Company Directors diploma, is a member of the Hobsons Bay City Council Audit Committee and sits on the board of the Seaworks Foundation.

Kerri Pyne

Kerri is the Corporate Affairs Officer with Altona based plastics manufacturer, Qenos Pty Ltd. Kerri's communications role includes managing their corporate sponsorships and community liaison. This provides Kerri with countless opportunities to interact with local organisations and charitable groups. Having worked with Qenos for about twenty years, Kerri is attuned to the needs of the Hobsons Bay community and is a passionate supporter of the West. Kerri is also a committee member of BreastWest, under the auspices of Western Health. Kerri joined the committee in 2009.

David Mattner

David is currently a senior investment advisor with Macquarie Private Wealth. After retiring from the RAAF following 13 years service as an engineering officer, he moved to Hobsons Bay with his family and has been a resident since 1996. During his time in the RAAF, in addition to gaining his engineering qualifications, David also completed an MBA. At Macquarie Bank, he has advised a number of charitable foundations and been actively involved in Macquarie Foundation programs. Having seen the good work that these organisations are capable of and the outcomes they deliver, David is keen to contribute to his local community through the Hobsons Bay Community Fund. David has been a committee member since 2011.

Adrian Butera

Adrian is Director Auctioneer at Compton Green Real Estate in Hobsons Bay. He has been Director and Senior Vice President of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria. He is past President and current member of the Rotary Club of Williamstown. Adrian's has had previous involvement with Epic, Water Aid, Royal Children's Hospital, Autism Victorian and the MS Society. Adrian joined the committee in 2013.

Katherine Barton-Ancliffe

Although not originally from Melbourne, Katherine has enjoyed being part of the local community for many years. She currently holds the position of HR and Payroll Manager at The Signcraft Group. Katherine completed 10 years' service in Royal Australian Navy between 1989 and 1999, which included commissioning crew for HMAS Arunta. This was followed by two years at RAAF Base Williams as a Logistics Liaison Officer. In her various workplaces Katherine has been involved with a range of committees and social clubs. Katherine has a Diploma of Management and Diploma HR Management. Throughout her adult life Katherine has been involved with fundraising for a variety of community resources including schools, sporting clubs and social clubs. With her husband, Katherine has run an Auskick Centre in Wyndham Vale. Katherine joined the committee in 2014.

Craig Eyes

Craig is a resident of Hobson's Bay and is a previous employee of the State Government. During his 10 years with the State Government Craig was involved with assessing and administrating grants for regional and rural development projects as well as development and facilitation of energy projects. Craig is also actively involved with Power House Rugby Union Club with the Junior Players at Altona North. He has also held the position of president for both Senior and Junior clubs which are based at Albert Park.

Vedran Drakulic

Vedran is the CEO of Gandel Philanthropy, one of the largest family philanthropic organisations in Australia. Over the years Gandel Philanthropy awarded a number of grants to community organisations throughout the western suburbs of Melbourne.  Prior to this Vedran was General Manager of Public Affairs with RACV, which included managing their community engagement programs as well as the RACV Community Foundation.  Vedran worked in the not for profit sector for a number of years, with International Red Cross overseas and also the Australian Red Cross National Office in Melbourne, where he was in charge of public affairs and fundraising for international appeals. He also managed communications for Oxfam Australia, including the Close the Gap campaign.

Vedran is a community advocate and a humanitarian, committed to giving back to the society. His family lives in Hobsons Bay and his daughter attends the Williamstown North Primary School.

Paula Kelly Paull

Paula is the Manager of Learning communities at Hobsons Bay City Council. She has a background in education, community development, public libraries. She advocates for strengthening communities & supporting initiatives that increase people's access to resources and provide opportunities to connect, share, grow and learn. She’s passionate about innovation and early literacy. Paula's contributed to award winning public library and community hub developments, developed and lead local, state and national reading / digital literacy programs. Previous and current Board roles include Director - Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), Go Girls Foundation, Australian Children's Literature Alliance, Children's Book Council, Prevention of Violence Together Partnership and Inspiring Australia. Paula is a Churchill Fellow, studying a Masters of Leadership. Paula and husband Damian and three of their five 'teenagers', moved to Hobsons Bay in 2014 and joined the Committee in late 2017.

John Clarke

John is a resident of Newport and has lived in Hobsons Bay at various times in his life. His first school was Williamstown Primary in 1954. He has worked in the areas of information and communication technology, education and training. In recent years he has worked on a wide range of projects in community services, health, education, financial management, information technology and philanthropy. John joined the committee in 2012.

Pamela Sutton-Legaud

Pamela Sutton-Legaud is a proven strategic leader, marketing and fundraising specialist and has directed strategies that have raised more than $150m for Australian non-profit organisations including: Oxfam Australia, Plan International, Bush Heritage Australia and Zoos Victoria. In 2006, Pamela was recognised as a Victorian Telstra Businesswomen of the Year (Community & Government) for her work with Plan International and the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. Pamela is a Senior Consultant with AskRIGHT.com, a strategic fundraising consultancy helping not-for-profit organisations become more financially sustainable. She has lived and worked in Williamstown for more than 17 years. She serves as a Director on a number of boards including BirdLife Australia, Seddon Community Bank/Inner West Community Enterprises, The Royal Australian Chemical Institute and is Victorian State Chair for the Fundraising Institute of Australia. She is a past member of the Hobson’s Bay Women’s Advisory Committee. Pamela is accredited as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) with CFRE International and holds a Master of Business Administration. She is a keen birdwatcher and amateur photographer. Julie Noonan

Julie is a project management specialist with community development and engagement experience in the not-for-profit sector; focusing on diverse communities. Her recent work has included research and engagement projects for Berry Street, Victoria's largest child and family welfare organisation and the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. As a long-term resident of the western suburbs, she is active in the local community, serving as a Committee member of the Williamstown Literary Festival, Floyd Lodge Community Garden, Williamstown & Community Education Centre and Williamstown North Primary School. Julie's keen to add value to the wonderful work already being done by HBCF. Julie joined the Committee in 2018.

Liam Cummins
